I think it's looking pretty good.

The only critique I would have is the behind your back part of the Obi Ani. It seems like the saber is more out to your side and less behind your back. You may be starting your arm movement and waist rotation a little too soon. Combined with the fact that your hand is far away from your waist.

Try slowing it down, bringing that hand closer to your waist, and pointing your pommel away from you.

It's a very minor critique, as it is really smooth. It's more of a how it looks.

Jump to about the 6:30 mark in this video. There are some pointers you may find useful. This video, and many more, can also be found in the saber artistry section.

I say the same, it looks great, very smooth, the only thing is that you need the blade to pass behind your back in the obi-ani, like if you where protecting yourself from a blaster shot coming from your back...but generaly it's looking very good. Check out those videos that Landen pointed out...

Thanks. I will go back and look at that specific point. I've been watching a lot of Darth Cep's and venturous' videos to try to get better, and also to help teach my son. Points to you both for the feedback.

I would add one other thing: once you get the motion down, start to put some work into pulling your left hand off your chest. If you can learn to work with it at your side or out behind you, you will sell the move better. It will also make it easier to transition to dual wield if you decide to go that route.

The only other thing I would critique, aside from what has already been mentioned, is to widen your stance to at least shoulder width apart. Keeping your feet close together will put you off balance and it'll make learning these moves that much harder. Widening your stance will give you a stronger base from which to practice from, as well as help sell the moves a lot better.
