Have you already tried a reset? Also, it could help to uninstall the saber from the Devices and Printers section and go through the installation progress again, i.e. activating the saber, plugging it into the PC and wait until the Windows Driver has been installed.
It's curious, I never heard that the Emerald Driver won't connect...normally it's the Obsidian sound board that has problems especially with Win 8 and 10
