Radioactive/Nuclear Soundfont Request/Idea

Hey forum,

Thinking about making a nuclear-inspired lightsaber. I'm an engineering major with a big interest in nuclear physics, so I bought myself a manticore in Tri-CG with Obsidian V4 (just arrived today). I was wondering if anyone had already made like a nuclear soundfont. If not, I was going to start working on one.

Let me know ideas!

LOVE the idea, especially with the Consular Green. Nice theme there. What did you have in mind when you say "nuclear"? I couldn't find any instances of someone releasing any saber font that they said sounded nuclear, and I'm not sure myself what it would sound like, but Ninja-Jedi created one called "Darktron" that sounds pretty cool - not sure if it's at all in the ballpark of what you had in mind:

Here's the link to the main forum members sound fonts page, but looking around I'd say your nuclear sound font would probably be very original:

So, now that I've napped and had time to think about which sounds to go for, here's what I've thought so far. For the idle hum, I want a low hum with a low-count Geiger click over it. For swings, I'm thinking a faster Geiger counter over a whoosh noise. For the Boot sound, I am thinking maybe one cycle of the alarm from Modern Warfare 2 that plays in the countdown when a tactical nuke is inbound with the scream "Tactical Nuke Inbound". Power on sound, maybe an Atomic bomb detonation sound? For clashes, maybe a really fast Geiger click over a clash? Power down, probably like a whirring down noise, not quite sure. For the lock-up, the same MW2 Alarm repeated over a blade lock up?

What are your thoughts?

I don't know but that font LB just posted for you here is freekin awesome. I will be using that one. I got to get my hands on some Winzip though. My free trial just ran out. Not messing with any other program. My computer is telling me they have viruses.
