Wow, that was a tough one to answer, because there are least double that number of movies that I definitely want to see, obviously , but if I had to choose only 5 to see this year, it would be these 5: Feb 10 - John Wick: Chapter 2 Absolutely loved the first one. This role is to Keanu as Jason Bourne is to Matt Damon May 19 - Alien: Covenant 1. It's Ridley Scott! and 2. It's ALIEN! Jun 2 - Wonder Woman Loved watching Wonder Woman on TV and have been waiting a long time for them to do it justice in the theater, as many have, and love Gal Gadot playing the role. I think she's nailing it. Oct 6 - Blade Runner 2049 Blade Runner and has Harrison Ford, which says a lot about how good thus could be if he agreed to do it Dec 15 - Star War: Episode 8 Duh!

Kong: Skull Island. I'm looking forward to that and then what comes afterward. (King Kong VS Godzilla ) Also, Logan, Lego Batman, Alien, Wonder Woman, War For The Planet of the Apes, Thor, Justice League and Star Wars. Plus, if I have time, Spider-Man and The Mummy. It's definitely looking like a good year for movies.

hmm, I'm not sure how I'm going to pick five, but I'll try.
Star Wars episode 8
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Spider-Man homecoming
Dunkirk
Wonder Woman
Along with: Thor: Ragnarok, Justice League, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and Beauty and the Beast.
These are all in no particular order, except for Star Wars being first. There's a lot of movies coming out this year.

I can't wait to see most of these (Dunkirk looks especially good after seeing the special trailer screenings), and then subsequently listen to people bemoan on, and on how pretty much all of them are garbage movies.

I don't know where you get that from. It's not like they release movies with extremely thin plots, terrible dialog but awesome special effects that get universal praise, while movies from other studios have actual plots and much more mature dialog but are universally shunned. That never happens.

I found this on wikipedia: "On June 5, 2013, it was reported that Warner Bros. relinquished their film rights to the Friday the 13th series back to Paramount as part of a deal that allows Warner Bros. to co-produce Interstellar." Here is the original source link: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/christopher-nolans-interstellar-warner-bros-562879

Interesting breakdown. Warner Bros. and Universal are probably the only studios right now with the money to keep up with Disney. Paramount has been struggling for years, Fox definitely isn't the power they once were. Most of those other studios you have listed are smaller ones.

Um, Lionsgate is far from a small studio. Granted, they are technically a mini-major motion film producer, it's pretty much in name only. They have gone through and made some of the better films out there. Like any studio, they have their stinkers, bu their quality control is actually very good, to the point that if I see Lionsgate in a trailer or at the beginning of a film, I know it has a 95% chance of being a good film.
