Who watches the watchmen?

Took my new crossguard out for a spin. It is a bit of a beast and takes some getting used to. Caught it on my coat a couple times. Now I know why Kylo's cape is all tattered. In all honesty though, it is much easier to work with than the crappy ipod brand earbuds I am wearing in the video. This was yesterday. Today I switched out the main blade for a 32" and experimented with a different grip. Much easier to handle. I find if I wrap my index finger over one of the quillion emitters, I cannot possibly catch the side blade on my wrist and it stays flat on a behind the back pass. I was having trouble with that one in this video. Once I get this down, the next step will be to figure out how to dual wield these things and then...crossguard staff ...because I am obviously that much of a crackhead.

I've often wondered how hard it would be to spin a crossguard saber, but it actually doesn't look that much different.

Point incoming.

Dude, seeing you spin anything is always awe inspiring.  It didn't look to me like you were having any issues with that saber.  Though, I like how you explain how you got there, I'm sure that will be useful information for people wondering how to spin one of these.  Also, with that outfit, you kind of remind me of Hugh Jackman's Van Helsing, only if Van Helsing was an awesome saber spinner.  Wink

Alright. I very much look forward to see you or anybody try swinging and a crossguard staff. That would be insane.

Nice. As always. You'll be dual wielding in no time. Plus, the benefit of getting even stronger from those hilts!

Yeah my shoulder definitely felt it after this spin session. Those crossguards are heavy. I don't imagine dual wielding will be that different. I tried it with this and a single blade. I just have to watch out for reverse obi/ani and the over the shoulder spin.

Always love crossguard spins, there's so much power behind them. Almost don't want to get rid of mine  Grin
