The least well kept secret in the movie finally gets revealed. I think this will be the best comic book movie of the year. A bold statement I know, but all the signs look good

I'm pretty damn certain Xavier is little more that a figment of Logan's fracture psyche.
It looks personal, it looks heartfelt, and without all of the wide-shot/splash-page/CGI in most event films, I dare say it looks "indie" by comparison.

Indeed. The first trailer gave me a Hell or High Water vibe. If the comic book genre is to have longevity they need to mix things up away from the big CGI city destruction kind of thing we have seen in some movies recently. Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool, Dr Strange and The Dark Knight have shown that you can do different things in the genre and still be successful. I know this movie is loosely based on the Old Man Logan storyline (one of the best Wolverine stories ever) but that indie/western feel (and the R rating) is what will make this movie a success. Obviously not EVERY movie needs to be R rated, but be creative in the genre is a must (even if the X-timeline is totally messed up I won't care cos this movie looks Da Bomb!)

Winning? Is that what you think it's about? I'm not trying to win. I'm not doing this because I want to beat someone, or because I hate someone, or because I want to blame someone. It's not because it's fun. God knows it's not because it's easy. It's not even because it works, because it hardly ever does. I do what I do because it's right! Because it's decent! And above all, it's kind! It's just that. Just kind.

Oh shoot, R? This trailer looks amazing, I will try my best to see it.
Speaking of X-Men, I still haven't seen DoFP or Apocalypse yet.

DoFP is Awesome. Apocalypse was very very disappointing.

They're both a lot of fun.

Perfect example of the mixed opinions I've heard about Apocalypse.

The XMen trailers always look so good. I should really watch them sometime.

You haven't seen any of the X-men films? There are two ways to enjoy them: chronological vs release order. Personally I would recommend release order. But you can avoid X-men 3 (because it's bad). Wolverine: Origins is bad also, but it is funny to watch now as Ryan Reynolds plays a really bad version of Deadpool in it. He actually makes fun of his performance in it in last year's Deadpool release. But X1, X2, First Class, DoFP are all excellent. And, as already stated, X-Men Apocalypse was disappointing.

Funny, X3 and Origins are my favourites so far. Didn't like the first 2 and despised First Class.

You didn't like the Nightcrawler attack scene in the White House at the beginning of X2? Or Wolverine going (a little) berserk and killing soldiers in the mansion? Or the recruiting montage in First Class (especially when they approach Wolverine in the bar). Or filling out Magneto's backstory when he was in the concentration camp as a child? As I frequently say, movies are subjective (there is no right or wrong).

X-23 is in my top 5 characters of all time - so I'm a bit excited for this one. Look forward to seeing how it pans out - cautiously optimistic.
