Jedi of Earth: " Arena " project training

Day One. We are planning on filming the actual Fan Film in late March...if all goes according to plan. Either way it's a lot of fun to get out of the house and train. I'll post our progress here.

Impressive compilation you put together. Really enjoyed watchin it. The double saber staff spinning was pretty incredible. When there were two side-by-side it looked like they might clash sabers. Pretty smooth moves.

thanks! Everyone part of the project wants to start training in our actual costumes so we can alter techniques is we have too. So the next one will show case most, or all of us in our most " basic " setup. ( For example, I don't have all of my armor/EVA foam ready at the moment. Same for some of the other members. )

More to come over the course of the next few months. Once we get the FullSail film team to come out and help they will not want to post anything until the final edit process is done. ( They will be finished early October. Which is the deadline I gave them anyway for the LCC 2017 competition. )

The film itself is going to be anywhere from 20 - 45 min long. So we will be entering about 7 - 8 entries. Once LCC is done with the voting process, we will put out the Full Version in early/mid November.

So I've officially been fired by my club for group editing...lol...anyway. Here is our last public sessions run through before we really start going for it in march. I'll keep the training vids coming but projects like this should be final edit so you don't see all the mess ups.. hope you enjoy!

I'm in SW Florida and clubs in my area are slim to none or have you going all over the state just for a meet.

I wish I had had people to get up and practice with too.  Most of what I do has been just me studying what other people do and practicing in my yard.   I've met people at cons who say they want to get a saber club going but nothing ever comes of it.

it took me over a year to get my club up and running. You just need 2 or 3 solid members to help it grow quickly. ( in my experience at least )

Happy to report this project of the J.o.E. ( go Joe! ) is coming back. We have a full crew this time.

This is a bad angle, but I think it gets the idea across for the Logo we are going to use. Thoughts?
