You are missing out. I haven't seen Lion or Fences yet, but all the others are Totes Amazeballs and really deserve their nominations

I'm gunning for MOONLIGHT, MANCHESTER BY THE SEA, ARRIVAL, and KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS in all categories (except for Best Score; I want JACKIE to win there)!

I'm also super bummed MOONLIGHT didn't get any sound mixing or editing nominations, but that just shows how much the Academy actually knows about this (replace "best" with "most" in all categories and it's obvious how they nominate stuff).

And to echo what Knox said: if you haven't seen any of these you REALLY need to check them out (although you're not missing much with HACKSAW RIDGE)!!!

I like movies, Spider-Man, and lightsabers.

That's about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My username and avatar may be of a villain, but I like Light Side points.

Amazon is making some history just by having "Manchester by the Sea" on the list.  It's the first movie by a streaming service to be nominated for Best Picture.  That can only a good thing, as that kind of attention validates their decision to pick up the indie drama, and may lead to them and other streaming services like Netflix picking up more indie films and helping some struggling indie producers.

I see a lot of familiar names on the list of nominees, some really good actors, actresses and directors.  I'm glad I don't have to pick.

Yea, I realised that afterwards, but was too late to modify. Ah well.
