The official movie poster for Disney's live action Beauty and the Beast. I love the look of everyone, apart from The Beast. I was expecting something more...beastly. Maybe it's because he's fully CGI. I would have preferred a combination of practical prosthetics and CGI. But will have to wait and see what it looks like in the actual movie.

He's fully CGI? And here I thought that Disney could do better...

Apparently he is. Personally he looks a bit too human and quaffed to be a believable monster

I don't care if he's CGI. This movie looks amazing.

We'll see

That list of actors. Ewan McGregor, Luke Evens, Ian McEllen. I don't think we have to worry about it being good.

Maybe. Great actors have been in bad movies before. I'm not saying this will be bad, but there's just something about the marketing that hasn't managed to get me excited yet. Plus, poor CGI on the Beast is like there being poor CGI of the Hulk. Wouldn't ruin the movie, but would definitely affect my enjoyment during the viewing process.

As proof, I offer up The Avengers. Not the Marvel film, the movie based on the spy show from the 1960s.

It had Uma Thurman, Ralph Fiennes, Jim Broadbent, and Sean Connery.

It was utterly atrocious. Practically a war crime of a film.

Agreed. And it could have been so great.
