The Batman 66/Batman & Robin popularity thing comes down to the times.
I think it was a matter tone. Batman & Robin had two preceding movies that had a dark gothic tone. Batman Forever wasn't as dark, but was okay. Going from the Tim Burton movies to the day-glo abomination of Batman & Robin, in effort to sell more toys was the biggest mistake (that everyone involved with has apologised for on numerous occasions).

Saying that though, as dark and gritty as Batman currently is, I LOVED Return of the Caped Crusaders. Funny as all hell.

Yeah, I've gotta watch Return of the Caped Crusaders again.  Great fun.  In fact, I need to watch the original big screen film again.  It's on Netflix, I may stream that tonight for a good laugh.  Grin

We do, just less of it. I think we get about 60-70% of what you guys get (due to broadcast licensing issues in the UK vs America).

Yeah, I know.  I've read about it online.  It's stupid, but different countries, different licenses, etc.  I'm actually glad Netflix over here has as much as it does, since I don't want to pay for cable TV.  Plus, I can watch whenever I want, which works with my schedule.  I work second shift and my days off vary.

I've heard that term a lot but don't actually know what it means (second shift)

Basically, it's just breaking at 24 hour day into three 8 hour shifts. (with an hour for lunch) In the store I work at, first shift is 0700 to 1600.  Second shift is either 1300 to 2200, or 1400 to 2300.  (I work 1400 to 2300)  Third shift is 2200 to 0700.
