After three seasons in the Tardis, Peter Capaldi is ending his time in the Tardis. Let the speculation about who the new Doctor will be begin (I'm hoping for someone either a black or a redheaded female as a nice in-joke).

Season 10 is the one coming out this year
IIRC, Matt Smith was seasons 5-7, Capaldi came in for 8, and also did 9. If he's leaving now that means he's been in for 2 seasons. |

If they go female I think they should cast someone with red hair. It'll be funny as the Doctor has always wanted to be ginger and then it happens when he becomes a woman. Or maybe cast a black woman and really go all out |

1- a female Doctor would be awesome 2- equality 3- after 54 years of white men in the role some variation would be nice 4- why not? 5- it has been shown that Time Lords can be any gender and skin colour when they regenerate 6- woman are awesome 7- why wouldn't we want another strong female led tv show? |

I don't disagree with any of those reasons, especially #6. Still not sure if I would prefer it, but I wouldn't mind them trying it. |
