BEST PICTURE: Want to win: Moonlight Think will win: La La Land
WHAT. A. TOTAL. F*CK UP!!!! I have never seen anything like that before on any award show ever. Moonlight wins Best Picture, but they originally thought it was going to La La Land. In terms of the movie, Moonlight was a deserving winner. In terms of the mix up, HOW THE HELL DO YOU MESS THAT UP?

My jaw hit the floor. Both the La La Land folks and the Moonlight folks handled it with class, though.

Yeah. That was very classy of them. However the f*ck up takes the shine of Moonlight having the solo spotlight. But, kudos to the La La Land folks. It's the biggest award the movie industry has to offer and they messed it up.

Me when LA LA LAND "won" Best Picture: Me when they revealed the real winner: We were seriously close to having a successor to DRIVING MISS DAISY and HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY there, but it's all ok because the right thing happened in the end. Also, I just want to point out that Bonnie and Clyde presented that award, 50 years after their legendary crime spree.

That's about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My username and avatar may be of a villain, but I like Light Side points.

Seriously, I still cannot get over the craziness of that moment.

I'm actually not, just a huge supporter of black art, and I've made it my personal mission to educate myself as much as possible after recent events here in the States.

Oh. One one hand, that's disappointing (always nice to meet other members of the chocolate society) but on the other hand it's nice to see someone exploring that aspect of film (and art).

Perfectly understandable reaction. If you think there's anything I should check out too I'll gladly take suggestions (aside from Woody Allen ).
