Hello! My organization, Lightspeed Saber League, uses exclusively 3/4" blades. Anyone else out there know the 3/4 love? Make yourself known!

And if you don't, well let's fix that. Here's our handy video on making one for yourself and your friends.

I think you'll find the 3/4 to be amazingly fast, and an absolute joy for Makashi specialists. Within our own organization, we consider it vastly safer and funner to use than heavygrade. Try it out and let us know what you think.

Watched this one a while back, when it popped up in my YouTube feed.  Very interesting.  Do you find your blades are as bright with just a reflective tip, as opposed to a shine through tip and blade film?

Yes. In fact, the few blades we've had in the clear/film setup never looked that good, honestly. But it may have been because we did not make them correctly.

In any case they standup to any blade in terms of brightness, granted a good LED.

Interesting, thanks for that information.  I'll have to take a look at this method on down the road.  I've been thinking of late about making some blades.

Edit: Heh, I just realized this is a different video than the one I watched a while back, which was your basic one, so I watched this one too.  Either way, I like the ideas you have for blades and I'm probably going to try one or both of these on down the road.

Cool. Please let me know what you think. Could really use people's feedback.
