1- Lost. Favorite show of all time, for all the people who wanted answers, bite me! Oh well! The show would never survive in today's world and the impatient society. "What? Another mystery?" People would flip out! Loved it! And the copycats, tons that followed, all failed!
2- Spartacus (Blood and Sand, Gods of the Arena, Vengeance, War of the Damned). For all the challenges it had, losing its main star who rose the show to notoriety to cancer, battling the struggle of having to write the oddball script and language they used, and being a premium channel show on Friday nights is hard to grab ratings, but if you like blood, sex, historical figures, and fighting, it was glorious!
3- Married with Children. Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, PSYCHO DAD! Watching it now, I can't believe they got away with the things they did!
4- Three's Company. Jack Tripper(John Ritter RIP) was tremendously nimble and had a nack for timing and was a charmer. My preference was the Ferley years, cuz Don Knots was something else!
5- The 3 Stooges. Not much can be said for the original Kings of Comedy. Moe, Larry, Curly, and Shemp.
6- I Love Lucy. The best non-animated animated redhead. Maybe seen every episode, I grew up watching Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel.
7- Thundercats. You guys don't know me by now!
8- Seinfeld. Although I haven't seen every episode, and never saw it once live, I've caught it here and there over the 14+ years I've been staying overnights for work in hotels, thanks to syndication. I find it hilarious. It's not for everyone, but I crack up, and it holds up still.
9- Exo-Squad. Perhaps some remember what it was, or not, but it was an early 90s cartoon series about an interstellar war between humans and neosapians, a strong, slave like race used by Terrans to terraform Mars and Venus. They use E-frames like what you see in Avatar, from what I hear(never seen Avatar cuz I think it was hacked). Anywho, very mature storyline for a cartoon. If I had one movie to adapt from something, I'd take the old Exo-Squad script and just go insane with the effects!
10- X-Men: The Animated Series. Another early 90s cartoon kinda mature for its time, which is fine. All the characters, storylines, were awesome. Even the primetime events were great.
11- Playmakers. No one will have this one, no one probably ever heard of this. It lasted one season only. Got pulled by ESPN after controversy. The NFL found the show too controversial, said it might paint a bad picture of the league. In fact, the show set off such an internal firestorm that it still resignates today(get over it, guys!) But the show was about a professional football league, the players, and the players lives. The drugs, performance enhancing drugs, sex, women, gambling, politics. Really pissed off the league. Left off in a cliffhanger. Never renewed.
Honorable mention All in the Family. Archie Bunker as the racist bigot is cringing but still chuckling.
Cops. Whatcha gonna do when you're bored and got nothing to watch!
The Night Of. Would've made it into the top 11 if I finished the series. Only got 4 episodes in and it's damn good!!! I just HBO so I'm gonna catch back up on it. It's a "who done it" falsely accused "or is he" thriller produced by James Gandolfini just before he died. Stars Riz Ahmed (Bodhi the Pilot on Rogue One) John Tuturro as his Attorney, and Michael K. Williams from Oz fame as a prisoner who "befriends" the title character. Really good. One season, 10 episode short series check it out!
