He plays the White/Green Power Ranger on the MMPR (along with the Red Zeo Ranger and the Black Dino Thunder Ranger. They got him to reprise his role on SPBD.
Oh! Power Rangers. Never watched it, hence me not knowing him. Power Rangers came along at a time when I was a little old for shows like that but young enough to still enjoy geeky things. (Took me a while to figure out what you meant by MMPR and SPBD too!  Grin).

That's OK, I wouldn't know who he was if not for SPBD/Batinthesun.  Wink

Shouldn't it be SHBD and not SPBD?

Technically it didn't, as it was based on Japanese sentai shows, and MMPR used fight footage from a sentai show from I believe 1975 along with reshoots of non-fight scenes using a North American cast.

No, because the series is actually called Super Power Beat Down.

Oh. I thought it was Super Hero Beat Down. My bad. Thanks for the correct *thumbs up emoji*

I was referring to the American version of the show when it was broadcast in the UK.

No, it's Super Power, because not everybody in the videos is a Superhero.  In fact, they use characters from a number of sources, including movie franchises and video games.  Their very first episode actually pitted the 1966 Batmobile against the 1989 Batmobile.

I've seen loads of the videos but focussed more on the versus aspect and who was fighting than the actual name of the series.

Ah yes. The "Marisha Ray in a bikini washing the cars" episode. So glad they got away from that level of gratuitous shots.

Yeah, as a guy, I enjoyed those kinds of segments, but I think it took the overall level of the show down a bit.  I'm glad they got away from stuff like that.  Though, they were working on finding their footing and had way less subscribers and made way less videos back then, so maybe they felt stuff like that was necessary to keep people coming back.

I've seen loads of the videos but focussed more on the versus aspect and who was fighting than the actual name of the series.

They used to release the videos that were just the fights and not the full episodes, I don't think they still do.  That saved people who didn't want to watch the debate part from having to skip ahead.  Wink

I remember the Captain America vs Master Chief fight being particularly divisive (Cap won), even here, and I also remember successfully arguing why Cap would win that fight based on feats and skills.

MMPR was a bastardization of Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger which first aired in 1992 but was the 16th sentai series.  The genre as a whole started in 1975.

Interesting, I assumed we were close in age but I was 10 when MMPR came out which was it's target audience.

Yeah, the only episode I saw that had a debate was Spidey vs Darth Maul. I liked the debate and think they should release them as separate videos.

I was 14 or 15, so just outside the age demographic they were going for.

Amazing the difference those 4 or 5 years can make! Lol

If I was the right age I could see myself absolutely loving the show
