Shocked Your put-down of EVIL DEAD II is a mark on your film fan record. Tongue
Uh, stating a fact about Evil Dead 2 is not a put down. i love the movie, but according to wikipedia.....So my film fan record remains unblemished and minty fresh

Horror was first, therefore it's eligible. With Evil Dead 2, they said it was a "Comedy-Horror". So basically, I took that to mean it was a comedy movie with some horror in it, rather than a horror movie with some comedy in it. A minor point, but the judges ruling is final.

1. THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS
2. THE EVIL DEAD (1981)
3. THE THING (1982)
4. HALLOWEEN (1978)
5. A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1984)
6. FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2
7. THE EXORCIST (1973)
8. THE SHINING (1980)
9. ALIEN
10. ROSEMARY'S BABY (1968)
11. PSYCHO (1960)

Honorable Mentions: THE EXORCIST III, RE-ANIMATOR, THE OMEN (1976)

NICE list!

I like movies, Spider-Man, and lightsabers.

That's about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My username and avatar may be of a villain, but I like Light Side points.

Point for Cujo and Per Sematary. But mainly because EVENT HORIZON! Love that movie and rewatched it a few months ago. Apart from some of the dodgy 3D CGI effects, the movie still stands up. And has SO many great actors in it.

Paul WS Anderson was on a show just before the last Resident Evil movie came out and he was saying that the studio wanted to release a director's cut to celebrate the 20th anniversary. Unfortunately, none of the footage that didn't make the movie still exists, so he couldn't add anything to the existing movie. Which is a shame, as I would love to see some extended hell scenes.

Hansrad mentioned Event Horizon before me...
