Ugh, my wife loves Grey's Anatomy and binge watched all 13 seasons on Netflix. I hated walking into the living room and seeing random grossness. I had to forbid it from being dinner time TV. So I guess I am real glad I don't watch Saw movies and don't ever plan to. I get queasy just looking at her medical books, like one time I literally felt dizzy and turned green when she was showing me pics of the inside of human bodies in her books. She loves it though.

I mean, I can watch video and look at pics that would make the guys on here cringe. (Yes you can find actual videos of Gender Reassignment Surgery/GRS, as well as most any common surgery.) Perhaps my excitement overrides the gore factor.

Call my crazy, but I'm kinda into gore movies. Don't know why but it really pulls me in. Saw, Hostel, anything gore and this is pretty much why I enjoy me some bloody horror movies. It all has a strange appeal to me.

I guess growing up hunting made me immune to gore Ditto. Plus my honorary uncle was head coroner for his county so sometimes interesting pics were brought to family functions as lessons for the young and dumb. |

Me? I just look at gore with fascination, often laughing at how over the top some of it can get. Yeah, it is ridiculous. I hate medical shows because of how off they are. As for horror movies I am usually distracted from the "horror" of the scene by how the color of the fake blood is off. Nope thats too orange, totally fake. (artist+hunter=way too familiar with shades of real blood) Yes, I know, I am strange |

so, my latest antic for Dec. we do have a bunch of new recruits that haven't a good saber to their name yet. since this is our 1yr celebration group wise.....inner group raffles. attendance raffle, daily prize. and the "I don't own a saber" mystery box that I just ordered.  granted, all I said to the group is there are group prizes and no hint as to what. |

That's how I feel watching newer horror films, but for some reason older horror films still manage to get under my skin. I think it's the use of practical effects and makeup that give it this weird uncanny valley feel. |

This. I'm the same way. Also, I used to work in a hospital's surgical learning center, handling specimens (whole or parts) all day. It only takes one visit during the Head Lab to get over your fear of dismembered body parts, and as a bonus, I have no gross out factor anymore. |

Must be something wrong with me. I and my wife love horror movies, but she isn't into gore (or too much of it). Gore doesn't bother me, in fact no movie bothers me. The original Saw was a good movie because of the surprise ending, just like any movie with that kind of ending (The Usual Suspects for example). But the rest of the Saw movies (and I haven't watched the new one) just bore me. Too many movies have sequels that are just a waste.
I could see anything rather it be live in person or on a screen, in fact if I'm having a medical procedure done on me and I'm able to be awake through it I want to watch it! I want to see what is going on.
The only thing I can't handle is smells! If it's bad enough I will lose my lunch.
