So at the suggestion of a friend, I looked into a recipe for raktajino, which is basically Klingon coffee.
Raktajino: House of Kasara blend:
1 1/2 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
6 Tbs. instant coffee
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Note: lightweight Terran friends may prefer a mix made with 3 tablespoons of instant coffee.
Makes approximately 14 servings.
Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
To serve, use 3 teaspoons and add 3/4 cup not-quite-boiling water.
When served, the drink should be thick, much like hot cocoa.
While I like the idea, it didn't seem "Klingon" enough for me, so I made an alteration and an addition.
I am replacing the instant coffee with instant espresso and adding a 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper for some kick.
I'll let you all know how it turns out when I try it tonight.

Which is why I switched from coffee to espresso.
Yes, yes, I saw. The amount of espresso would prolly do me in, thus the coffee increase and not a switch. |

I understand it was a typo we all do them. Just double negatives are one of my peeves along with their, there, and they're. Inflection etc. also means a lot in what we say and unfortunately it is hard to convey with typing. I did not intend my statement as some school marm screeching over your shoulder but more of a gentle ribbing.

Okay, I had to add more sugar to it (mainly because I have a sweet tooth the size of Olympus Mons), but HOLY CRAP it's delicious!!! An alternative to powdered non-dairy creamer is powdered milk. Or, if you want to take the extra time and expense, condensed milk. |

Ooo, yes! Iron fisty! So happy! I can practice sabers and watch empty hand styles. My only problem is my boy and I watch that one together and he’s on punishment, so no screen time for him. Might need to sneak that one in my room.
