HAHA! I did! I used a Tascam 424 and I would bounce tracks 1, 2 AND 3 down onto 4 and so on until there was nothing left.
How do you not have all that awesome gear anymore? A Korg M1? A MiniMoog? A TR- 909?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I worked as a Music Tech teacher for my local Council. They had what was known as a Youth Services Department that provided social clubs for kids aged 12-24. Part of the Youth Services involved introducing them to the Arts and Music through workshop classes. The Music Workshop had the toys (though the DX-100 and the DDM-5 belonged to me while the Minimoog and W-30 to the gentleman who ran the initiative).
We got new instruments every now and then and sometimes folks brought their own kit in too. We had access to Yamaha SY22, Kawai K-1, Alpha-Juno 1, Akai S-2000, Atari STe computer. We also had all sorts of guitars, a full drum kit with hardware frame, a P.A. system and mics plus the Tascam multitrack.
Sadly government spending cutbacks ended it all and the gear was sold off. As I had just left college I had no cash and couldn't snag any of it.
Long story over...any one else have any random thoughts?
