In the Corps. when someone was late, we had to do one minute of situps for every minute he was late. Imagine doing 1 hour and 20 minutes of situps the entire time... My abs hurt for two weeks.

Don't you find that overtrains them? I train mine every other day. Need to give them recovery time.
No, you use your abs for EVERYTHING. From sneezing to sitting, standing, lifting pushing, stretching, etc. Abs are the one muscle that you can never really overtrain since you use it the most. In the Corps. when someone was late, we had to do one minute of situps for every minute he was late. Imagine doing 1 hour and 20 minutes of situps the entire time... My abs hurt for two weeks. |
