Thank you! And you're right: special needs teachers have to handle A LOT (my mother worked as one). My hat's off to her  Yup to all of this... I was a Teaching Assistant in grad school, then I married a teacher, and our maid of honor is a special-needs teacher who has a special-needs child. Hats-off to all of the teachers, special-needs teachers, and special-needs parents! |

You're welcome and good to chat with ya. I salute you as an educator, my mother in law is a special needs teacher so I see some of what she goes through
It takes an extremely rare, patient, and caring person to be a Special Needs teacher. The one at our school is fantastic! There is no way I could - do or deal with - what she does on a daily basis. She was (deservedly) "Teacher of the Year" for our campus. |

As a teacher I think it's finding your niche in wide range of teaching possibilties. I work with special needs children as well. Aged between 12 and 18. And I love it. But put me in front of a class of 'normal' 4-5 year olds and I would get fired or get burned-out. Deep respect for the teachers of those classes. As well as a friend of mine. He's a Dutch-teacher at a Gymnasium/Atheneum (highest school-form here in the Netherlands, for 12 to 18 year olds) I wouldn't stand a change over there. yes I could teach them, but the level of the curriculum would almost be to high for me, not to mention the attitude of those adolecents..... Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating but the point I'm trying to make is, that (as with everything) you should find the place you're the most happy working, then it won't cost as much energy and you just enjoy your job. Big respect to all the teachers out there, 'cause alot of what they're doing I won't be capable of. And yes, alot of teachers probably won't like working with my students, but I love it  |

My full respect to any am all teachers and instructors !!! Being a service tech trainer of 18+ crowd and instructor in various aspects of martial arts from 5 yrs up and to one of my staff student who is 80 and instructs in Japanese Ju Jitsu. As you grow into your chosen role stay down to earth and always try to get into your charges head to see where they are coming from . This is probably the hardest part. Again my Respect to all ( bows )

That's pretty nifty Logos, I remember watching a sort of unique homes TV show a long time ago and one guy had converted an old church into living quarters. Biggest issue was heating/AC, high ceilings and wide rooms made it more difficult in that regard. |
