Inserting New Batteries into a Graflix

The batteries in my Graflix SE with Obsidian Lite needed to be replaced.  I inserted 4 AAA batteries into the battery holder.  Immediately a high-pitched sound emitted from the sound speaker.  I tried to pressing the on-off button on the saber, but the sound stayed on.  I had to remove a battery to switch off the sound.  The batteries in my Bellicose have been replaced without any problems.  Is there a reset on the Graflix that will switch off the sound when the batteries are inserted?
