Hi. You attached your Consular modification video but I easily found the correct one. Pretty impressive skills you have all round. I would never have thought of using customized Initiate v2 to make a Nunchaku. If you ever get a pair of v2 Aeon/Dominix you likely would appreciate the additional length and weight. You may have inspired an alternative version to saber spinning... helmet included. lol  point for you and thanks for sharing  EDIT: Correct video link now showing. Really like the Consular mod as well.  |

I have a set of metal nunchucks that I have had for years, wouldn't be much of a difference in handling except the length. it would slow you down trying to deal with the extra length. pair of the cross guard blades (Kylo Ren) probably would work. Bad idea if you were in a REAL saber fight though. Your opponents saber would chop your "chucks" up quickly, unless they were made from Mandalorian iron. Unless you were a Martial Arts Master.... Just my two cents worth. I love the idea for "showmanship" (stage work.) would drive people crazy watching that in action!  ~ Major Umbra P.S. sorry I didn't see the video until AFTER I had made my comment...DUH! |

If light sabers were real, and I were up against any opponent without a lightsaber... These nunchaku would be preferred I think. The speed of slashing is amazing to watch. Reflecting blaster fire would be unmatched. I think a single nunchaku would be an outstanding secondary/offhand weapon. |

I'd be less worried about an enemy chopping up your nunchucks, and more worried about your nunchucks chopping up you. Most of the techniques I know have the handle touching you, even if they aren't impacting hard. There's a big difference between having a block of wood come to a gentle stop on your hip and a lightsaber blade touch your hip. The other issue is that while you can effectively slash, there's no power driving through. If you strike an enemy and the block your attack, the lightsaber is going to bounce. You can follow through, but the blade isn't going to point in a favorable direction while you're doing so. I'd also be worried about how blasters would affect it. These would be great for a nunchaku demonstration, but terrible for a fight against a lightsaber. |
