when you were young, before the prequels came out(sorry younglings, this question is for the older folks) and you heard obi wan talking about the clone wars,...what did you imagine the clone wars being?

I was 8 years old and remember not understanding what it meant and never gave it much thought after Obi Wan talked about it.

my personal thought was the clones had been jedi clones, and jedi were fighting jedi and nobody knew who was friend and foe or who was the original and clone personally, i'm just wondering what some people imagined the clone wars to be, because i'll be honest, i didn't imagine them being like they turned out.

Yeah me neither, but I quite like your premise of clone Jedis, albeit that it's an idea in other genres that's been done before.

yeah, i was young i didn't have the greatest imagination, i was just curious to hear some star wars fan's thoughts as to what they thought the clone wars were before we eventually found out.

for the record i'm not saying the show was bad or the event in general or anything, for what we got it was good i think, i'm saying that i think that out of all the things the concept of a 'clone war' could entail,...honestly the clones just being prototroopers is somewhat disappointing, or at least, not what i was imagining such an event to be, and thus disappointing to me.

I thought it was a war where the galaxy was being invaded by clones and the Jedi fought to stop them.  Boy, was I surprised when the prequels rolled around and the Jedi and clones were on the same side.    (even more so when they wound up being the first Stormtroopers)

that would be a pretty cool idea, an alternate reality intersecting, and the 'clones' being alternate universe versions of everyone, or a galaxy made entirely of clones of a single person invading another galaxy or something.
