Darth X'Aurek's Lightsaber

A year ago last December, I got my first Ultrasaber (and some for the wife and kids, too!). I loved it. I still do!

But it wasn't really "mine", there wasn't much in the way of customization. It needed something else.

So I ordered some parts, and made it my own!



I still want to weather it, and I'm thinking of adding some leather to it. But even as it stands right now, I'm pretty happy with it!

(The top one belongs to my apprentice, my oldest boy).

What exactly have you done down the bottom there? Looks like a combination of a Renegade pommel and a Menace emitter? How did you marry those up?

That's exactly what it is.

I tried to just put the claws on top of the Menace emitter, but without the flat disk part they just spin around. And the renegade pommel is one of my favorites, but it didn't lie flush with the Dark Menace body. Then I realized I could put the menace emitter on the bottom, and then the renegade pommel on that. And it turned out awesome.

Very cool! I didn't realize the top section was separate on that emitter as I don't own one. Another point for ingenuity! Brilliant work

That's really awesome.  I especially like the outside the box thinking of combining the emitter with a pommel to create something unique.

That's really sweet. It's cool how emitter often work good as pommels, but most people never think of them that way. Great job.

The War Glaive emitter works well here. I'd only do one thing different: I would use the black War Glaive emitter with the Silver Claws to tie in with the Silver window accent of the Menace.

Had I thought about it beforehand, I may have done that. I think if I weather the claws well enough, it should work out though.

Datron, great looking saber    I really like the aggressive look throughout the entire body, from pommel to emitter; it just projects "Sith"  Awesome job^^
