Hello, I am new to the forum, and I was wondering...

So, Star Trek fans are called "Trekkies," but the rabid fans call themselves "Trekkers."  I consider myself a Star Wars fan; I'm 45, I saw the first movie in the theater when I was 5, and I've dutifully introduced my son to the universe.  However, he has far surpassed me in passion for all things Star Wars.

So the question is, is there a word for a Star Wars fan who has been out-star-warsed by his own progeny?

Pretty sure that's me.

Also, my son has immaculate taste in lightsabers.

Either you like Star Wars... Or you're wrong.

Hey there, Krrayn. Welcome to the forum. Before making any more posts, please read the forum rules on the main page and post that you acknowledge them. It's a requirement for all new members so we all follow the same code of conduct.

Regarding your question, though, no moniker other than "Star Wars Fan" has ever been acceptable thus far, and I think that's the way it should be. Makes Star Wars all the more the best fandom.

Hey Krrayn!

Welcome to the forum. Smiley

You'll just have to get yourself an even better saber then. Wink

Oh, and I refer to myself as a Star Wars nut. Tongue

Welcome to the forum.
I believe the term you're looking for is "Star Warrior," as far as the fandom goes.

And I know full well about the 'apprentice' trying to outdo the 'master.'
Mo son just picked up a VERY nice Dominix V3 (well, I bought it for him as an early birthday present)

Welcome!

We're all just fans - here in the UK at least, Trekkie/Trekker is a point of some contention among Trek fans, with the former having picked up a negative element that still persists to some degree. SW fans are much more inclusive. About the only significant points of division are on the prequel/original trilogies, and whether the changes to the OT in the mid-90s are acceptable in the context of Han (not) shooting first. Nothing significant, then! Cheesy

Anyway, you've just joined a lightsabre forum. I think that may just put you back in the lead Wink

Welcome. I was actually just thinking about that the other day, and I concluded upon us being called Warriors. However, any of the other terms are completely acceptable as well. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. The only thing we ask is that you first use the Search Function (picture with magnifying glass) to make sure that the questions has not already been asked and answered. If you cannot find the answers you are looking for, go ahead and ask. Someone will quickly come along with an answer.

Again, welcome.
