Anyone know of a Cthulhu/lovecraft themed font. I have been looking for a while with no luck. Closest I found was Dominus Nox. Any suggestions?

I think the clashes would sound good having a saber clash with someone saying "CTHULHU FHTAGN" over it. |

That's a good idea. I tend to hesitate doing things like that, because it gets annoying real fast. If it's going to annoy me just making the font then I know I'm never going to want to use it. |

That's a good idea. I tend to hesitate doing things like that, because it gets annoying real fast. If it's going to annoy me just making the font then I know I'm never going to want to use it.

See I was thinking like a Cthulhu Fatagn! for the boot up. Low resonant chanting with a background noise for the hum, swings that sound like a large mass moving through fluid, and clashes that are gurglie monster sounds. Perhaps a maddened scream for power down. At least that is how I envision it.

Challenge accepted. I will see what I can do. I think I would like to make it sound like a lightsaber still and then incorperate all the sounds and some cool boots. I don't think I would like just monster noices for clashes and stuff. It reminds my of that funny cat font. I think it would be best to make it sound like it still belongs in a saber.
Unless of coarse you don't want it to sound like a lightsaber and just monster sounds.

Ideally, the monster sounds for clashes would make it somewhat rare in a spin routine. A low gurgle, grunt, or growl, like a tentacle monster would make if you hit it. The chanting might have a hum behind it but more like a drone than a hum. As of eldritch power resonating off cavern walls. The swings might be something like what the Dominus nox font uses. Now you have me imagining this whole thing. The base idea I have is that it is not a lightsaber but a mythos equivalent, which would be an alien relic, powered by strange energy, tied to an ancient ritual, that may or may not be sentient, and would most surely drive you mad to use. |
