Perhaps a spending cap as well? It's just kind of pointless to impose a lower limit without an upper one too, is all. Plus, then you don't get anyone going totally bananas on theirs, and spending thousands on it, just for bragging rights.
I think that might make things a bit more competitive as well - a level playing field - so to speak.
That makes it a bit hard for those of us paying for international shipping on every part we need to buy including the hilt, plus duty/taxes in some cases. |

I would think a cap wouldn't include shipping and taxes, etch. Just a base price on the parts, accounting for exchange rates. Though, maybe not this time around. Since this one seems more casual, more of a "let's see what you can do" kind of thing, I don't see a point in limiting money this time. Maybe if we do a more formal challenge with actual winners on down the road, we can impose a limit. (that's hard to enforce on the Internet, though) |

My suggestion for what could be a trial run... is to just let participants use whatever saber that they have handy and are inspired by. And if this remains fun while keeping the creative challenge and friendly competitive edge... even better. Then if the overall effect is a positive experience that other members can appreciate and learn from... then go with more specific guidelines the next time. Let's not discourage people from participating.  |

If i'm going to take part in this, it will be external only on the Aeon V2 I have. (been wanting to customize that since I got it, but zero inspiration so far). Funds wont allow anything else for a good while. Hrmmm.... think I have a few spare O-rings laying around here somewhere...  |

Been needing an excuse to send you that charger and led module etc anyways . Also Isola, i used to feel bad for you Aussie's and the shipping charges... till i found out that us canucks pay like 2/3 of what you do easily lol! How is that fair, i'm literally closer to US than a lot of American states/ cities, you're like literally on the other side of the planet lol!!  . |
