I received my light saber yesterday 5/17/17 and in one day it gave me an initialization error. I hooked it up to the Ultrasabers Launcher as it told me and ran the diagnostic. Now my light saber will not turn on nor will it connect to the software. How do I fix my saber?

I had this same issue the day I got my Diamond Fulcrum. Can't say for sure what the issue was, but it was one of two things: First, the cold had zapped the batteries pretty hard. Charge those first.

The second (and when I actually got the initialization error) happened when I tried to load my first sound font. I ran the Diagnostics tool with all boxes checked and it told me there was an issue with one of my fonts. Had to completely clear the font bank and re-run the diagnostic tool. Eventually after some fiddling with the diagnostic tool, it fixed everything.

But batteries were the big one. If you have the VC2 Charger, pop them on there for a bit and see what happens.

EDIT: http://www.saberforum.com/index.php?topic=34773.0 may help as well.

Thank you! The batteries charging seems to have done the trick!

Awesome! Glad it worked out for you! Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the BuckPuck causes the batteries to simply shut off if they're low enough. It seems like something's wrong, but it's just the saber trying to protect the electronics. Pick up more of the TrustFire batteries if you can! It's completely worth it.

Thanks for the suggestion maybe you could help me with another issue. I can't seem to get my light saber to consistently connect to the Ultrasaber launcher. It connects once in a while but most of the time I cannot get it to connect. How can I get a more consistant connection from it?

I have had the issue of it not connecting too. It seems to me the only resolution is to just unplug the USB in and out a few times until it finally is recognized and connects. I'm not sure of a better solution.

You could try a different port. I don't have a Diamond saber but the Obsidian in my Guardian used to prefer a 2.0 port.

You might want to try using a different cable, or a different USB port.

2.0 USB ports seem to be better. I'm getting a new computer this week with 1 3.0 and 2 2.0 ports so. I usually use a 2.0 for my camera and loads like right away. I know different but same idea
