Project Mirror: Part 1

So as some of you are aware, Seano and I had a very similar idea a good while back. His was Operation Yin/Yang, so mine became Project: Mirror.

Part 1:

Dark Prophecy with an MHS Scorpion pommel.
All 'low' spots sanded to create a 'Prophecy LE' look.
3d printed chassis with recharge port installed where a speaker would go.
18650 Battery
Momentary to latching converted (at some point will be swapped out for a soundboard)
Purple illuminated AV switch
12w Purple LED


This was my first foray into saber building, so quite nerve wracking, but it all came together fairly nicely in the end. I had no idea how taxing the sanding of this would be! The grooves in the grip have worked my last nerve to the point that I have now given up on them. I shall return to them at some point, but for now, I'm done with them. (ok, looking at these pics I need to give it a run over with the polish..)

I still need to do some customization to the pommel, but that is a fairly major undertaking that will have to be done twice (one for each part of Project: Mirror) and so that may wait till I complete Part 2.

I like it Corwyn. Thie grips look really good to me. I would have never imagined putting that pommel on there, but supprizingly it looks really quite nice.   I like the purple with the dark and silver contrast too. Points to you my friend, looks like you worked pretty hard in that.

The first one is always the worst because you don't want to break it. But after the first one you throw caution to the wind because you know that if you break it, you can fix it

I keep hoping that US is going to bring this version back since a lot of people would want it.  Bet we could get those 250 pledges to order.  I could put that Scorpion pommel on many of my sabers.  The neck with a Consular pommel would look good as well for an additional modification.
