The construction on the Electrum Wind isn't difficult at all, neither is deconstructing one. The main "meat" of the hilt is just a tube, that's what contains all of the internals. To disassemble it, all you have to do is heat up the glue that holds the switch in and take out the switch. Then snip the wires and you should then have enough play to take the battery pack, sound setup, etc. out of the pommel end. Then snip the wires going to your LED and the sound setup comes right out. After that, the LED module, which is a standard US 1" OD LED heat sink, like you see in Initiates, Aeons, Sentinels, Prophecies, etc. slides right out of the emitter end. You don't even have to take off the little emitter to take out the LED.
The only think complex in the EW construction is the shrouded outer part, none of which really needs to be removed in order to access the internals.
