we have every race here, almost every facet of the world represented. English, French, Canadian, even us Natives. those of us that have been here a while know who's who, from where, race, religion, etc. the only part that matters is the love of star wars and lightsabers. we're a community that's like family to each other... even that weird cousin.  *whispers* His name is Darth Logos if you hadn't already figured it out.  |

Yeah to get a good non pinkish purple I had to set up a blue with a hint of red... But if I ever wanna be racist black face mace windup for Halloween I guess I know how to set the saber up. Also, I'll never do that.

From what I have seen on the forums (and google searches) no one has been able to successfully get a group started in the Dallas area. Houston and San Antonio seem to have a few different groups going but who wants to drive 3+ hrs all the time to bang sabers. I barely did that for scrims when I played tournament paintball. |

Hi,
We have duelists here, I have been meeting with TSL texas charter, but am not happy with the general top leadership of TSL, there is a light speed group, I'm gonna go with a friend to one of their meets, but I don't like their focus, with them its all about speed and very little concern for technique, Thus a couple of us are looking to set up something else. If interested PM me, we will be using TPLA, and Bendu Lightsaber Combat as our go to for instruction, and will be dueling as often as everyone wants to, Id be down for 3-5 times a week lol, but I know most people cant do that.

From my little corner of french-speaking western Switzerland, driving less than an hour west would get me to France, 1 hour north-east would make me change language for german dialects, 2h to 2h30 south or north I'd be in Italy or Germany and if i go east 3h30 to Lichtenstein and 4h to Austria. Basically, I can drive any direction and I'd be in a different country in less time than it would take you to get to San Antonio or Houston. This reminds me of something someone once told me of the difference between people in North America vs Europe: "In Europe 100 miles is a long way, in North America 100 years is a long time" From what I have seen on the forums (and google searches) no one has been able to successfully get a group started in the Dallas area. Hopefully you'll be able to find a group with which to clash sabers. I was lucky enough to have a groupe active in my region (in my city and in 3 others cities within 1h drive). |
