Has anyone ever tried using Match N Patch tape for easy and simple leather wrapping? It's used to patch scratched or ripped furniture and it looks like a decent pleather with adhesive. I'm looking to wrap a saber but not going full authentic by gluing and wrapping real leather. Basically looking for an easier and faster method for looks and still withstand a couple twirls of the hilt.

Tennis handle wrap is an easy way.  There are many brands and styles including ones that are very plain and look more like leather.  Provides a nice looking comfortable grip.  Smiley

I just recently used some sports tape on an apprentice for a different look on the grip
