So I majorly stripped the screw on my dark standard issue and I'm hoping someone can point me to a good screw remover. I got one but it ended up not having a size small enough. I've seen a few people talking about tapping out the screw and all kinds of technical handyman talk that I don't understand so if anyone has a layman's terms version a screw remover set they can recommend I would appreciate it

Or a dot of crazy glue on the end of the allen key. Just soak in in acetone after you get it out to dissolve the glue.

Did you strip the threads, or simply over-tighten the blade screw to the point it got wedged in between the blade and wall?

Ah acetone! That will make me feel a lot better about busting out the glue. I really appreciate the info. Did you strip the threads, or simply over-tighten the blade screw to the point it got wedged in between the blade and wall?
The screw is stripped very badly. The blade is out luckily so I don't have to deal with any of that |

So I tried it out and it didn't work so well. Should I try to completely fill the hole eith glue then stuck the screw in? There is just so much open space in the screw |

Ok, so the blade is not in the hilt but the locking screw is? I wouldn't add more glue, you will just end up glueing the screw in. Hmmm... try using a phillips head screw driver that will fit snugly in the stripped head and screw it in whatever direction is closest to coming out. (keep screwing it in until it falls into the hilt or out until it falls out of the hilt) A picture or three would be lovely so I know what I'm dealing with here. Closeup of the stripped head, outside shot of the hole and down the emitter (so I can see how deep the screw is in)

I'll take some pictures before I head out for work today. The screw is almost perfectly in the center of the hilt. I think the last few times I fought I borrowed a multi-tool wrench that might have been the wrong size and done some damage. There was an incident with the wall and a blade and some minor separation so I probably been tightening and too much the last few rounds

Or if you have them on hand star wrench, they work. Just gotta kinda put pressure on the screw while unscrewing and usually takes a few tries. Done it like this before so. The ones that has more of a star shape to them
