Swapping internals from a saber with sound into an empty hilt

Hey everyone!
So here's my question. I have a saber with light and obsidian lite sound. Is it possible and if so how hard is it to remove the internals from that saber and install them into an empty hilt that I purchase. Would I have to buy a new switch as well.
Probably a newby question but thank you for the help!

Sure it's possible, I've done it. (Obsidian V4, but the steps are the same.) Your exact degree of success and how many steps/how much money is involved will depend on a couple things:
1. Which hilts are we talking about?
2. What kind of switch do you have and what kind do you want? (guarded or AV)
Anyway, answer those questions and it should be simple to guide you through the process, which isn't complicated.

Also, do you have much experience soldering?

You don't need a whole lot with this type of operation, as it will basically involve soldering wires together.

I have a Lost Grey with a guarded switch and want to pick up a Scorpion with an AV switch. Soldering is not a problem
I'm just not sure how hard pulling the internals from one is. Like what holds the led assembly in place? I know the battery, board, and speaker assembly slide out, and the switch wires will have to be cut.
On a side note, on the Lost gray is it possible to move the covertec Wheel from one side to the other?
