I want to mount my lightsaber to my wall, with the blade pointing down at the floor. I looked into Maglite flashlight holders, and I believe those are the cheapest way to go, except I'd be using 3M mounting tape instead of the screws that are included with the holder.

But I see there are C-cell holders and D-cell holders, and I can't determine which one is the right size for my hilt.

My hilt is a standard base model Apprentice V4 w/ Obsidian Lite board. Standard Emitter. Standard Pommel. Which Maglite mount is right for my hilt?

I think the D-cell would work well. The C cell Maglights are 1.25 inches in diameter  (see http://maglite.com/shop/flashlights/mid-size-flashlights/maglite-2-cell-c-flashlight.html#.Wagom0FMGaN), and the Apprentice V4 is 1.45 inches (https://www.ultrasabers.com/product-p/stunt-apprenticev4.htm). The D Cell Maglights are 1.56 inches (http://maglite.com/shop/flashlights/full-size-flashlights/maglite-4-cell-d-flashlight.html#.WagrXEFMGaM), and I would assume that the Maglight holders you're looking at would have an inner diameter just a bit smaller than that to ensure a good grip.
