Sabers owned: Dark Arbiter V 4 with Emerald Drive.

« on: September 23, 2017, 01:00:10 AM »

I bought a $75.00 mystery box and got a Dark Arbiter with V4 sound Emerald Driver and rechargeable batteries, and Thank you Ultra Sabers, couldn't be happier. Because it was a mysterybox it did't come with a covertech wheel, and I would love to attach one. Is it possible for me to do this myself? Please help. First Saber and not experienced...yet.  Thanks in advance. May the Force be with you.

You can, if you know anything about drilling and tapping screw holes.  UltraSabers even sells the wheels:

The UltraSabers warranty doesn't cover damage done by you trying to modify the hilt, though.  They won't fix it if you mess it up.

If you don't want to drill into it, you could go with this: http://www.ultrasabers.com/8-32-Covertec-Button-Thumbscrew-P825.aspx
It screws in to act as both your retention screw and covertech wheel.  But since the arbiter has the blade retention screw so high up on the emitter, it might be a bit awkward and might hit the upper lip of the emitter when screwing it in to tighten the blade.  But for the price you could always try it.  Otherwise you will probably need to drill and tap thread the hilt.

You can also get this pommel from TCSS (looks just like the pommel that came with your saber) http://www.ultrasabers.com/MPS-Pommel-style-3-v2-P90.aspx and than add this pommel insert which will give you a D-Ring on the bottom of your saber. http://www.ultrasabers.com/MPS-insert-style-12-P535.aspx You will need the clip also http://www.ultrasabers.com/MPS-Clip-P72.aspx By doing this you can't hurt your saber at all.

If you are going to drill and tap I find this set on Amazon which includes everything you need except a drill itself. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001VND9G2/ref=sxts_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1506154039&sr=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65
