Update: saber was looping swing sounds, now, no long has sound, just turns on and off, can't even cycle the sound fonts... I assume this means the board is done, and the only thing keeping it alive is the emerald driver...

Call or email US. Could be several of things ranging from bad solder job on the board to the board being bent/cracked. Did it arrive with the loose usb or have you been using it?
