Author Topic: Does anyone hate those "double-swing" swings?  (Read 2179 times)

Hey fellow saber fans, just wanted to ask you.
Am I really the only one annoyed by the fact that "swing" sounds in saber fonts sometimes have two or three fast swings mashed into one "swing" file? And there is no way to determining which one will play right now, so if I swing the saber once, I may hear this double sound and it would look weird. The saber is supposed to be as close to the real thing as possible, so why make these fonts with double-triple swings?

To be more specific I'm speaking about the Starkiller font, I like it, but with this font loaded the saber feels less real that it could've been.

Yeah, I get somewhat annoyed by that, but not really. It is easily fixed though! All you have to do is find that sound file on the obsidian launcher, and take it off! Well, more like find all the sound files you want to add, and leave that one out.

I do wish though that they had a sound font that had a deeper idle hum.

Yep. Can't stand them. They'll be the first to go when I get around to hooking the card up.

Yeah, turns out I'm not the only one, the question is why do people still put those sounds in their fonts. Go figure Tongue

I guess to give the person a choice when loading up the sounds.  I just completed (yea me, can't believe it either) making my own sith file from the different files that are available on the forum.
