Greetings from Florida. My name is Phillip.
I always wanted to get a lightsaber, and had been eyeing the ForceFX Signature series for a long time. Especially when they were about $200 bucks. But unfortunately they became unicorns, and not to mention they were never meant to be dueled with. Something I always also wanted to do.
So this Halloween, I am dressing as Darth Vader, but for fun a onesie, not cosplay, and decided to get an Ultra Saber.
I bought the Chosen One CE w/ diamond controller, RGBW, color red of course fully loaded, with in saber charging, all accessories etc. By adding a $200 mystery bag saber, I was able to pass the $750 requirement and got another $75 mystery box saber.
Didn't get anything too crazy. I got DARK INITIATE V4 with basic sound, in green and a SENTINEL V4 Green Stunt Saber.
So far pretty happy with it, the Dark Initiate originally didn't work, every time it hit something it would turn off, but reading here in the forums, I understood it to be the battery. I changed the batteries to Eneloops, and its been working ever since.
I have so far dueled my entire family, and everyone seems to become little kids again with it.
I use 2 Heavy Grades, Chosen One, and Sentinel, and 1 UltraEdge Heavy Grade on the Dark Initiate.
The Chosen One is awesome for novelty, but is a bit heavy, and less balanced than the other two. Not to mention much heavier. Though I haven't fully mastered where to grip the best. Open to suggestions.
The rest, I'd like to learn some tricks, saw some youtube videos, and would like to meet other people to duel.

As far as learning tricks go, I started with a Sentinel. We've got a whole sub forum on that stuff for a starting place.
