Got several sabers that are going out for Christmas.  What's the best way to wrap one?

Well it's hilt, blade, and a few accessories (blade plug, wrench).

Hmmm, good idea.

Only problem is I'm finding single ones for like $4-12, or I'm finding packs of 50 for $0.70-1.50 each.  I need about 10, which means I can either get just enough for $40, or I can get way too much for $40.  Maybe I'll check locally and see if I can find better deals on non-bulk items.

Yeah, so those seem like a pretty big no-go.  The prices I'm seeing are not including shipping, and shipping for these things is ridiculous (more than the price of the package itself).

Any other ideas for gift-wrapping a saber?

Wrap hilts and blades separately. What about cardboard tubes from the rolls of wrapping paper?

I saw some really cool "saber bags" on eBay that I'm considering.  They'll only fit the hilt, though. I was thinking of just hiding the blades and giving them the hilt wrapped.... my gift-receivers are pretty intuitive, they'll probably guess what it is as soon as they see a very long box  Roll Eyes

Some of these are going to be given to people who aren't coming over to my home.  Something I can give at the end of a shift.  So hiding something somewhere else doesn't seem like it would work.  However, I guess for those that are going to be at home I could wrap them differently and I'd only need a few tubes in that case.

Wrap the hilt like a tootsie role, and then... umm... I got nothing for the blades.
