Greetings! I've been on the forum for about a week now and everyone has been so great--thanks for all the help in figuring things out! I've found my new addiction. After a year of breaking/buying/breaking again Hasbro toys when dueling full force with my sons, I decided to research getting a "real" saber. After watching lots of YouTube vids and drooling, I pulled the trigger and ordered an Aeon v4 Emerald with Obsidian sound. LOVE IT. Of course, my boys are also obsessed with it, so I just ordered/received both a Shock & a Dark Shock (both RGB with Obsidian Lite.) During the Autumn Raffle, I won an Apprentice v4 LE with GB and Obsidian Lite. My wife has claimed the raffle prize, but I secretly consider them all MINE (cue devious laugh). They don't sit on our shelves unless we are taking a break from dueling. I look forward to learning more and sharing ideas, since as all of you know, these sabers are like electronic candy and I'll always want more!  Other things about me: I'm a Physical Therapist in New Orleans, coach baseball and soccer, and am a big fan of LSU & the Saints.  |

Welcome. I feel like I already know you, but I can now make it official. Some great sabers you have there. Why is the Shock so much longer than the Dark Shock (or at least looks longer)? If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. We do ask that you try using the Search Function (picture with magnifying glass) to make sure the question has not already been answered, but if you cannot find it that way, ask away. Someone will quickly be along to help you out.

Taegen, I was wondering the same thing myself regarding the Shock & Dark Shock lengths. It was a bit surprising, but they are loaded the same & the pics show them as they came. I consulted with US & ordered 2 “Emporer’s Hand” pommels to replace the ones that came with these two hilts (waiting for delivery). Those will sit almost flush and shorten them each a few inches (and take away some of the weight).
While I love my emerald saber, it’s really cool to be able to switch colors on the fly with RGB. However, it changes the aesthetics some, obviously.
