The thinnest diameter of this saber is about 1 1/2 inches, the thickest is about 1 5/8 inches. That is in no way 100% fact, I just did a quick measure using the ruler on my leatherman (I'm too lazy to get an actual ruler or make an accurate measurement).
It really is the perfect size for this saber. It isn't too think that you feel awkward holding it, and its not so skinny that you can't get a good grip on it. It is perfect
