In chronological order it goes:

Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (starwars.com has a chronological order for episodes)
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Star Wars: Rebels
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Episode IV: A New Hope
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
Episode VII: The Force Awakens
Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

As to which order to watch them in, that totally depends. I personally like watching it in chronological order, but many like watching the Originals (Eps. IV, V, and VI) before the prequels (Eps, I, II, and III).

Well, I can recommend the 'Machete Order'. It worked quite well for my wife.

I heartily second the Machete Order.  It brings the story back to what it once was, cuts out the abomination that was Episode I.  I prefer Rogue One to come after Episode III, and before Episode VI, then drop into the new trilogy in order.

Chronology aside, if you're introducing someone new to the films, 4,5,6 first. I still prefer the originals without the updates. The scene with Han shooting first is part of introducing his survival and life style. The music number at Jabba's id distracting. Then prequels, but warn the new viewer the prequels are a different kind of story. It wasn't supposed to be the same. Then Rogue One, TFA and TLJ. Rogue One isn't a completely needed story, but it's the only Disney SW film I can tolerate in it's entirety.

I have to say chronological order, I know many say to watch Machete Order, but it takes a Machete to the series which usually isn’t what you want.

To each their own of course.
