So I did some more work on a blade plug tonight..  with a crystal inside it..

It probably would look better in a hilt without the sloped emitter end, but I don't think it's bad for a first quick-and-dirty job. Smiley

Saso guided me to post this here instead:

As for instructions: get cabinet knob (I like crystal ones as you may know), find the perfect bottle topper slightly shy of 1" OD (from cheap cologne bottle in my particular case), screw together, slip into a nice hilt, fasten with retention screw and enjoy!

Nice! Glad this exists, definitely a fun extra piece to have custom lightsabers. Smiley

Here's a few more saber plugs.  The last two are for sabers that can't be discussed.  The first larger crystal one for the newer members that may not have seen it before... is for my STALKER Dominix v2 RGB customization.  Smiley

I'm looking at purchasing the 4"x6" leather sampler on peggysuealso.com. For those who have done some wrapping, would you recommend this product for use? I figure having pieces in various shades of brown, gray and black would be good to have on hand for any future projects

Yes.  I measure and cut heavy clear polycarb tubing and sometimes clear acrylic.  Glad that you enjoyed seeing them.  It often takes me awhile to come up with an appropriate blade plug.  Most of my supplies come from Michaels crafts.  Smiley

Amazing work!  You have that eye and knack for making great blade plugs.  My favorite one right now is the one with the sun.  The large crystal looks great with your saber as well!  Have a point

Super job on those plugs... I like the names you have given them for the specific style.  Smiley

does anyone know if a clear 35mm film canister would work for making blade plugs?

I'm 99% sure 35mm film canisters would be too large.
