Good Title huh. Grin

MOVING ON!

I swear there was a thread around here for this but i can't find it.

Anyways Most have already seen the top half of the saber wrap on Praxis v2.

So what I did was............

Take a thick leather watch band.
(It was lying around from my goth days and was askking to be recycled. ) Grin
Then Punched a hole, dead even in the middle.

Took off the Covertec and tightened it back on through the leather.
( Where can I get a longer one of these Hex Screws so I can put the wheel back on.? )

Took some random nylon cording and wrapped it as tightly and as intricately as I could, then Supper glued it shut.
It actually would up looking really friggin cool! Grin

Because it added a "Power Box" effect to the saber.

Just a full size to see the completed saber. Grin

NEXT!

My Raven.

It has been deemed..........(insert drum roll)

Lucifer Spear Black Nulla

or Black Nulla for short. Courtesy of Soul Calibur IV.

"What lies in her soul is Piety."

Using left over leather stripping with eyelets. I Wrapped it around, pulled tight, glued the piece down and cut off the slack.

Than you get this. It's not even on the back but it looks awesome regardless.
I took on of the leather straps for from the watch band and pulled it as tights as I could, glued it down and cut of the slack.

Here is a full size picture. I took off the claws be cause I think I looks really awesome like this.

Hope you enjoyed. Grin Grin

P.S. - Sorry about some of the pictures the flash made them blurry.

Those are some  wicked mod ideas for an ultra saber!  Smiley using watch leather is genius since you can just change the diameter or cut a bit off and ta-da instant leather grips. I really like the raven mod you should have had the claws on it though when you took the pic that would have made it more menacing.  Cool

Bellicose looks cluttered, the Raven looks nice though.

I know that's exactly what MJ said about it.

Because the slack of the nylon cording breaks up the flow.

After I force her to try it out she agreed that the added grip feels good but I think I am starting to agree that I should cut off the slack and super glue it up.

Put it too a vote I guess,

Anyone else have any thoughts on it? I love all your opinions.

Very nice customizations, I should really do some of my own... last one I did was my PVC Dominix,  and it turned out great.

sweeeeeeeeet.  I like the way the bands cover the black part of the saber yet still leaving the silver rings of the saber showing.

Out of the two, the Raven is my favorite. Love the look that the individual straps give it! Well done

as a recovering goth/leather worker, I really like what you've done, Sentinel.  I was planning on some leather bits for my saberstaff as well, but no old bracelets to mess with!  I still have a bunch of black dye and super sheen/neatsfoot oil I could use...

as for the screw, tcss, 1/4" head socket screw, they are 8/32 thread size, and just use a toothpick or something and poke it into the hole as far as you need the screw to be, measure it, and order it.  Since it's less than a buck, you should get a few other bits just to justify shipping, and on that note, you could probably just ask Ultra or Deep for a purchase of some hardware.

Fine show!
