Replacing the led with a tri led and recharge port question?

So I just got my mystery box Saber in the mail yesterday. I got a stunt Dark Sentinel LE V4 upgraded with non illuminated switch, windowed emitter, and has a recharge port. So my 2 questions are: Can I directly replace the blue led it came with by cutting the red and black wires and replacing it with a tri led fire orange? Second question: The saber came with a recharge port. However it is not connected to anything? Looking inside the saber. It's just the port with the 2 prongs and nothing else.  Trying to figure out why this was done. It has the normal 4 AAA battery box. Thanks in advance for your responses
