Then I prepped the neck, primed, and painted it.

Fantastic work Tx!  I love the different textures of the disparate parts.  That's shaping up to be one incredible saber!

Today was etching day. Had to prep and transfer the design from the P&P paper to the emitter and part of the hilt. The design on the emitter didn't come out good so I cleaned it off and used pin stripping to put a design on it. Then a bath is the solution, clean the solution off with water. Take off all the pin stripping, tape, and cleaning off the P&P transfer and it's good to go. I am extremely happy with the way they both turned out!! The only thing left is all the electronics, hopefully will tackle that tomorrow. The finished hilt is 13 1/2 inches long. Oh yeah also weathered the neck a little.
