Looking to but my first Sabre and want some help.

Purchased a complete Darth Vader costume, which will be used at upcoming Cub Scout Super hero weekend..yes, I know..DV isn’t necessarily a super hero..anyway..I was looking at ultrasabres and I like the

Dark initiate V4 with obsidian premium sound with tri blazing red

I’m 6’5” tall..so thought I would go with 32”. Blade..

Would appreciate some suggestions..thanks

Of course the Chosen One is based on DV's  saber. If you don't want to go with that you could use a Prophecy or Dark Prophecy, they have similar styling.

I personally have always thought a Prophecy with a little black paint added makes a great Vader saber.

Agreed.  If not the Chosen One, I vote Prophecy too. Smiley

That one's actually based on Anakin's saber anyway. Wink

I have a prophecy, little note is that if you get one then remove the small screws on the emitter, those can really get in the way especially if you get covertec with it. (thats what I did)

But those help give it the Vader look.

it does, so if you want to keep the screws then you shouldn't get covertec. those get in the way so much, it is so annoying!

Yea i agree, definitely go with the chosen one with the red blade. Gotta keep it as real to Vader as possible. Make sure to include sound as well.

I would add: If you're 6'5" you want the 36" blade.  Remember, about 2-3" will get inserted into the hilt.  :-)   I'm 6'4" and while I love the 32" for dueling due to their speed I use the 36" blades for visual effect and costume work.  The longer blade just looks right.  :-)

As for hilt...   The Chosen One or Prophecy are indeed more like the "Vader" hilts, but for overall use and sheer comfort the Dominix V4 LE is top notch.  I would recommend a Scorpion MHS pommel 'upgrade' and the AV switch to go with it.  :-)
