Hello all, I'm new around here, and happy to join the community! I haven't purchased an Ultrasaber yet, but I am planning on making my first saber purchase in the next couple months! I'm really excited about it, and I'm excited about getting immersed in this seemingly friendly, happy-go-lucky community.  |

Welcome to the fun! There is a TON of great information and images to help influence your choice. There are also some great stories going on over in the Fan art and fiction section. Some amazing customizations in that section, as well as some great costumes in it's place! As well, there are some fun forum games to tease your brain and while some time away as well.
Is there a hilt, or several, that you are interested in, or have decided upon?

I've spent more days than I'd care to admit just looking at sabers.  I think my first one is going to be a Lost Gray with Emerald driver and sound. It is pretty expensive, but I absolutely love Ahsoka's lightsabers, and I love the idea of being able to customize the blade colour and soundfont. I considered the Fulcrum, but I'm a rather small guy with small hands, so think it might be just a tad too big for me (though it is a gorgeous design). The Lost Gray is just as gorgeous, and would fit me a lot better. Right now I'm basically just saving. I'm gonna be getting a ton of hours over the summer (60 hours a week), so I'm gonna have tons of extra income. I'm putting most of it away in a savings account, but I decided I'd allow myself one irresponsible splurge, so an Ultrasaber it is. |

I'd like my patio now please...lol The Lost Gray is indeed a very beautiful design, and my first saber was an Emerald as well. Yeah - it's not exactly the least expensive hobby (I'm at 15 now...  ). I'd like to award you a force point, but know not which side (LightSide; DarkSide?) to give you (and judging by the text under your avatar, I'd guess neither?) Anyhow - cheers.  |

It's no fun trying to stay in balance if nobody's trying to upset the balance. Also an update, it appears that my first Ultrasabers purchase will not be one for me. My younger brother has a birthday coming up, and I've talked to him, and as a birthday gift to him, I'll be getting him a Shock LE (probably consular green, maybe guardian blue, he's not interested in the Emerald driver) with sound. I've got enough money in my account to order it for him now, and once I've got enough to buy my own saber, I'll have a dueling buddy. |

I busted out some paper and made a cylinder with the dimensions of the hilt. I know the Fulcrum is only 2 inches longer, but those 2 inches can make all the difference. Just a tiny bit shorter is all I really need. |
